Our policy is to satisfy you, the customer. We will ensure you get the product and service you require. To achieve this goal, we have set forth the following criteria to ensure that all of our customers are treated equally and fairly and that costs (to both The Cable Source and our customers) are minimal.
We sell products in several different categories from several other manufacturers. You may call us; we will help you determine your purchase requirements. Please get in touch with customer service for more information on returning an item. Thank you.
Stock Items
Non-defective stock items purchased within 90 days are returnable without an RMA number. Items must have all original packaging and must be in a resalable condition. Items must be returned with a copy of The Cable source invoice/receipt.
Non-Stock and Custom Items:
Non-stock items under $50.00 are non-returnable.
Non-stock items over $50.00 require an RMA# (see obtaining an RMA# below) and are subject to a restocking fee. Our ability to return products varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. This means that the return policies and restocking fees vary from product to product. Please feel free to call us for details on your particular product. Items must have all original packaging and must be in a resalable condition.
All custom items are non-refundable. Defective custom items may be returned for replacement only.
Delivery of Return Items:
Return of defective items is acceptable when things do not function under the specifications set forth by the manufacturer. Faulty stock items may be returned for refund or replacement within 30 days of invoice. No RMA# is required.
All non-stock and custom items invoiced within the last 30 days require an RMA#. (See obtaining an RMA# below.)
Any defective item over 30 days from the invoice date will require the customer to interface directly with the manufacturer.
Obtaining an RMA#:
The return request must be initiated within 30 days of the purchase date to obtain an RMA number.
1)Call 915-345-3199 and ask to speak with a representative from the RMA department.
2)The representative will complete a Return Materials Authorization form. The customer will need to provide the following information:
- Cable Source Order/Invoice number
- Part Number
- Quantity to be Returned
- Reason for the return.
3)If the request meets Cable Source’s and manufacturer’s criteria, an RMA# will be issued. The representative will fax or email the completed RMA form to you, noting the RMA# and any applicable restock fees.
4) The Cable Source must receive all authorized returns within 14 days of the RMA date. After 14 days, the RMA# is invalid, and the process must be repeated if you still wish to return the product.
Unauthorized Returns:
Processing returns generates a cost in both dollars and efficiencies. The above processes were designed to minimize those costs, allowing us to maintain competitive pricing and high levels of customer service. Therefore, any item requiring an RMA# must be shipped with the appropriate RMA form.
Any item received by The Cable Source without a valid RMA number or later than fourteen(14) days from the RMA date will be considered an unauthorized return. At that time, the unauthorized returned item is returned to the customer at the customer’s expense. Please include a copy of the original sales receipt and write the RMA# outside the shipping box.
